I. Am. Here.

I am finally enjoying being here.
I can finally, truly say that I am in the US of A.

But the thing is, there’s not much difference between the Philippines and the US of A

Okay, so the air’s cleaner here.
There’s less garbage in the street.
The temperature is crisper, cooler.
The malls are oh so gorgeous (Frances Leila, you SHOULD be here).
The hotels are so pamper-ous.
The food’s tastier.

But it’s still like the Philippines.

Except for one thing.
One big, big thing.

They don’t have a quarterpounder with cheese here.

They have a double quarterpounder with cheese  here. [dreamy look on my face]
As in, two quarter-pound patties, generous splash of cheese and lotsa tomato and onions.
I am soooooo in love with that sandwich.

Just for that, I LOVE Las Vegas. I love the United States.

Double quarterpounder with cheese… I could live here forever.

  1. Dude. I hear ya. If there’s a cult for quarter pounder burgers, count me in.

But there’s a reason why Americans are fat and lard-bellied. Gotta come from somewhere, right?

  2. It’s better to get fat abd lard-bellied than to never have loved the quarterpounder (or double quarterpounder for that matter) at all.

  3. haha! ang babaw talaga ng kaligayahan mo. double quarterpounder lang eh. anong live there forever? walang-hiya! ipagpapalit mo kami sa double quarterpounder lang? buti sana kung triple. hehe!

  4. kiko try mo yung shrimp cocktail and steak don sa ano ba yon, san francisco something resto sa may fremont street! yun yung old vegas.. have you seen it? mas coolness don kaysa sa strip!

  5. okay will do kat!
    Thanks for the tip. :-)

  6. harumph.

  7. uwian mo kame ng double quarterpounder with cheese. bili ka airport tas hand carry mo na lang. seryoso ko, dude.
